Yes, as board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners (PMHNPs), we are licensed to prescribe medications. We carefully evaluate each patient to determine the most appropriate medication regimen to address their specific mental health needs.
Your first appointment involves a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and will last about one hour. We will ask many questions to understand your symptoms, health history, previous treatments, and goals. Please complete the pre-appointment paperwork. Medication may be prescribed if appropriate, and we might also provide additional referrals to optimize your treatment success.
Yes, telehealth visits are available for established patients. First appointments must be scheduled in person, however, for those who prefer to receive care from home we are happy to accommodate your preferences.
